Hello friends!
It has certainly been awhile since I last posted. Between school and the holidays, life has been busy!
Happy New Year!!
I wanted to quickly share my studio project from last semester, which is part of the reason why life was so crazy last fall. This is a contemporary urban loft design based on a piece of art of my choosing. We were asked to design the entire (almost) 5000 square foot, 3 story, loft space (including a rooftop deck) from scratch. I designed the floor plan, selected furniture, picked out finishes, and even got to design a custom staircase. Although it was extremely time consuming, this project proved to be a lot of fun. What a dream to be able to design a space like this!
Concept Statement & Art Inspiration:

These are my fabric and finish selections. I chose luxe fabrics with a lot of texture, dark and light wood tones, marble, and terrazzo - all inspired by the color palette in the artwork (above).
